NEIGHBOURHOOD BEAUTIFICATION

Murals with MAC

Murals with MAC is a city-wide neighbourhood beautification project that redefines public spaces through vibrant, local art. By facilitating unique partnerships between artists, community stakeholders, and sponsors, MAC transforms infrastructure into celebrated landmarks that reflect Mississauga’s rich heritage and culture.

These projects provide essential paid opportunities for professional visual artists, employing their skills to foster a deeper sense of community and neighbourhood identity. From hand-painted Bell boxes and high-visibility Alectra vinyl wraps to large-scale murals on local businesses and major construction projects, Murals with MAC is transforming Mississauga’s public art identity, one project at a time.

MH1A – Erin Centre Blvd. – Resident Gallery

Queen Street N. – Love Letters to Mississauga

An "Artist Call" poster for the Streetsville Hoarding Project, specifically seeking photographers to submit work for Queen Street North. Murals with MAC is inviting residents of Mississauga to share their vision of the city through the theme “Love Letters to Mississauga.” This project is open exclusively to photographers, writers, and poets, and seeks to celebrate the past, present, and future moments that make Mississauga special to its residents. We encourage creatives to explore what love for the city means to them, through images, words, and poetry, and contribute to a vibrant, heartfelt community story.
