Anna Wojcik is a co-founder of Nóżki Opera, a group of young artists creating vibrant and original opera experiences. This past summer, with the support of a Matchmaker MicroGrant from MAC, they successfully put on two garden performances of Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro.” Each member of the team played a role in the performance as well as behind the scenes (dramatically, creatively, and administratively) to make the project come to fruition. The beautiful garden setting provided a laid-back and romantic atmosphere for attendees watching in-person and through the livestream. Both performances were sold out, and despite some rain getting in the way, these passionate young artists remained positive and put on an amazing show.
