MAC is looking for Arts Supporters who live or work in Mississauga to join our Board of Directors.

*Note: This is a volunteer position. MAC’s board members cannot receive remuneration for their work as a board member, or for any services provided to MAC for other projects (including but not limited to: MicroGrants, commissions/performances, and professional services)
^All board members are required to purchase a MAC membership and maintain their membership throughout their term as a MAC Board Member.
Are you passionate about the Arts? Do you live or work in Mississauga and want to become more involved in the growth of the Arts Sector in Mississauga? MAC is seeking up to three (3) volunteers to join our Board of Directors for a two-year term. Board members should be willing to commit a minimum of three (3) hours per month to the position.
MAC’s Board members are responsible for:
- Monitoring the strategic direction and fiscal accountability of the organization;
- Building the board’s reputation and moving the organization forward by demonstrating the principles of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in all interactions;
- Participating in monthly board meetings of 90 to 120 minutes;
- Participating on sub-committees as may be needed from time-to-time; and
- Serving a minimum of one two-year term, to a maximum of five two-year terms.
Applications to join the board are being encouraged from those who are:
- Living/working in Mississauga;
- Members of communities that are: BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour), LGBTQ2S+, Deaf, persons with disabilities, neurodivergent, and youth (under 30-years-old);
- Artists (from all genres including: dance, fashion, film/television, literary arts, music, theatre, visual arts), arts supporters, organization administrators, or business entrepreneurs; and
- Experienced in one of the following areas (preferred but not limited to): Human Resources, Accounting/Finance, Fundraising/Sponsorship, and Grant Writing.
