She shares with us more information about the veena instrument, its importance to Carnatic music, how long it took for her to learn the veena, the roots she has in Mississauga, and what collaborations she has planned for the future.

Watch now as we learn more about how her linguistic degree helped her work as an illustrator, advice for staying true to yourself and how she found inspiration from her personal experiences, why youth, children and adventurous adults are her main subjects, and what it was like working with American Girl, Harper Collins, and Penguin Random House. She also shares with us more information about an upcoming mural at Peel Children’s Aid Society she is working on as a part of MAC’s Murals with MAC program.

StyleWorthy Studio Grant Opening

Styleworthy Studio is having a grand opening on Sunday, February 13th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, ribbon cutting at 1:00 PM! Founded by Jennifer Rabanillo, Styleworthy Studio is a self-love studio in Streetsville that supports mental health and wellness using the arts. It is a safe space for individuals to evolve with self-care, a wellness shop featuring goods from local makers, and provides wellness experiences. It will also feature workshops in music, writing, and visual arts curated by local artist, Angela Chao, Creative Programmer, and LOTS more.

AGM presents Let’s Talk Black History with Nadine Williams

Art Gallery of Mississauga (AGM) invites you to join Curator and Artist Nadine Williams for an in-person Curator’s Talk February 27th, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, at AGM. Nadine will discuss her current project on display at the gallery that seeks to bring awareness to the UN’s International Decade for People of African Descent (IDPAD) through her Art Installation project “The Fabric of Our Being” as well as the International Decade for Indigenous Languages with her BHM Poster A M Dis – This is me (affirming identity). This body of work is the fusion of textile art and poetry.
