Anna Yin received a Matchmaker MicroGrant from MAC to produce Here and Now, Discover Mississauga and More. This series of events included two haiku walking tours, three online haiku workshops and an eBook as a celebration based on these creative collaborations.
The first walking tour was in River Wood Garden, Anna Yin gave participants a brief introduction and inspired them to talk a walk and write haiku. Online workshops focused on sharing and editing haiku. Selected haiku, photos and haiga have been showcased at Celebration Square for Japan Festival Mississauga 2022. These activities led by Anna attracted global interests and received appreciative responses from sponsors and participants.
An elegant 54-page eBook with photos from Mississauga beauty spots accompanied by haiku was presented and a short video was produced and released on Sept 30, 2022, both of which can be accessed for free at SureWay Press website by the public. https://www.surewaypress.com/en/archives/2925
