Mississauga Arts Council and SAWITRI Theatre partnered together to organize the Real-to-Reel emerging filmmakers’ program. This program invited ten emerging filmmakers to create short films based on each of the ten theatre performances at the Mississauga Multilingual Fringe Festival (MMFF). The result was ten unique shorts created in a variety of genres: comedy, documentary, mockumentary, drama, and musical. The films premiered at the MMFF for two screenings in August 2023.
