Norma Nicholson used her SNAP! funding to organize “Westminster Court Seniors Celebrate Mississauga’s 50th Anniversary,” a special event for the residents of Westminster Court Seniors Residences.
Residents enjoyed snacks and shared why they love living in Mississauga. They were then treated to live entertainment, including music from violinist Viera Zmiyiwsky, whose performance was sponsored through SNAP!
Additional performances featured musician Walter Maclean, dancer Latoya Campbell, and vocalists Zecaria Lewis and Carlia Lewis.
Ward 3 Councillor Chris Fonseca and members of Peel Regional Police were also in attendance.
Sauga Neighbourhood Arts Program (SNAP!) is an initiative of the Mississauga Arts Council that brings artists and communities together to celebrate Mississauga.
