Frog in Hand used their SNAP! funds to support their 2024 Summer Company, an annual paid training and performance opportunity for youth dancers and production workers. The program engaged 10 youth dancers, 2 emerging production workers alongside artists from Frog in Hand’s own company.

Over 9 weeks, the Summer Company celebrated Mississauga’s 50th anniversary with pop up performances throughout Mississauga and beyond, as well as 84 classes for dancers, seniors, their production team, and for general public mental wellness.

The program enabled 22 artists to receive paid work, and created meaningful opportunities for youth leadership and growth. Overall, the Summer Company increased the visibility of contemporary dance and supported local tourism and placemaking, leaving a lasting impact on both the artists and the community.
