Studio.89 used their SNAP! funding to support the Erin Mills Block Party celebration in partnership with The Daniels Corporation. Held on August 10th, 2024, at both Studio.89 and the Daniels Sales Centre, the event commemorated three significant milestones: Studio.89’s 10th anniversary, The Daniels Corporation’s 40th, and Mississauga’s 50th. The four-hour celebration emphasized community connection, creativity, and cultural inclusivity.
The event featured live performances by three Mississauga artists, including two singers and a drummer. Attendees also enjoyed a live painting of a picnic bench by local artists, outdoor games, face painting, and henna art. The Block Party successfully attracted over 200 attendees throughout the day, fostering a vibrant sense of community and artistic expression.
