Mississauga Arts Council awards $42,900 in MicroGrant Funding to 16 Winning Mississauga Artists!

Mississauga, ON – November 21, 2024

Mississauga Arts Council (MAC) is pleased to announce the 16 winners of their Fall 2024 MicroGrant Program, distributing $42,900 in matching funds to artists’ projects from all disciplines, accelerating career progress while animating and beautifying our city. Since its inception in 2019, the program has awarded $463,700 to 182 artist-initiated projects.

“This round of MicroGrant winners demonstrated exceptional talent and commitment to enriching their community’s cultural landscape,” says Susan Durnin, MAC’s Administration Lead. “They impressed the jury with their noteworthy projects that range from short films, concert performances, multimedia pieces, literary works, music videos, theatre productions, and more! Congratulations to all of the recipients!”

“Our Matchmaker MicroGrant respects the work of local artists matching their commitments with cash earned by our dedicated volunteers working shifts at RAMA Gaming House,” says Mike Douglas, MAC’s Executive Director. “To keep this popular impactful program running, we need more volunteers.
