Project: Let’s Talk Art
Thipashini Bala used her Fall 2023 Community Activation MicroGrant to produce Let’s Talk Art, a creative arts and networking event for South Asian artists in Mississauga and the GTA. Held on November 8, 2024, at Halo Espresso Bar, the event brought together 40 creatives to showcase and discuss their work across various mediums, including visual art, film, music, dance, and fashion.
Originally intended to be a community fashion show, the event evolved into a broader arts night to better reflect the interests of women South Asian creatives.
