Preparing your work to grow and professionalize your business can be daunting, but webinar host, Breann Ritchie will walk you through some of the steps needed for you to achieve personal success in the visual art sector. From building your EPK and curating your artwork to calls and galleries. This “first steps” seminar will ask the big questions and offer insight on a global market as it applies to your practice.
About the Presenter:
Breann Ritchie is a visual artist and gallerist working in Mississauga and living in Stoney Creek, Ontario. She attended the University of Toronto and Sheridan Institute for art history and studio art respectively. She continues to broaden her knowledge of the art business by taking courses through Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
Breann actively collaborates with and advocates for Canadian artists as Gallery Director at Crescent Hill Gallery. She has been working with the gallery for 8 years and has contributed to the diversification of artists represented there. She works closely with these artists to hone their craft and project their message to broaden their collector base. Breann has also worked extensively with the art community in both Hamilton and Mississauga organizing events that respond to artists’ needs and coaching artists on an individual level to reach goals they have set for their art business.
Breann’s artwork is completed in mixed media and offers quiet reflection on nostalgia and the beauty found in nature. Her work can be found in private collections in Canada, the USA and Great Britain.
