Mississauga Musician, Matt Zaddy, received a Matchmaker MicroGrant from MAC for his #TogetherAtHome #OpenMic series. The weekly event was a way for local musicians/music fans to stay connected, and served as a great comfort during the first few isolating months of the COVID19 pandemic. From March 2020 through September 2021, #TogetherAtHome featured local performers and event saw performers from Texas, New York, British Columbia, and Quebec participate.

“The #TogetherAtHome #OpenMic was my passion project during COVID to keep our local music community connected with the best virtual version of an open mic I could produce. I am very grateful to the MAC for supporting the event through the Matchmaker Grant during the summer months as things started to reopen. This event did a great deal of good for the community during the most difficult times of COVID, and became a source of hope, entertainment, and inspiration.”
