MAC’s own Mike Douglas receives the King Charles III Coronation Medal

Congratulations to Mike Douglas, Executive Director of Mississauga Arts Council (MAC) who received the King Charles III Coronation Medal recognizing his commitment to Public Service.

Mike was one of 34 local recipients honoured on March 5, 2025 at a special ceremony hosted by MP Charles Sousa at the Mississauga Golf & Country Club. Mike’s passion for the arts, as well as his enabling growth of the arts, building community, promoting local artists, and enhancing awareness of arts and culture in Mississauga, were the foundation of his nomination for this prestigious award.

The ceremony was a celebration of many inspiring community advocates, including long-time MAC champions and artists such as Ron Duquette (MAC President), Councillor Stephen Dasko (MAC Director), Mayor Carolyn Parrish (MAC supporter), Gil Moore (MAC partner), Chuck Jackson (MARTY Winner), Frank Giannone (MARTY Winner and MAC supporter), Asma and Arshad Mahmood (MARTY Winners and MAC supporters), Patti Jannetta Baker (MARTY Winner), Linden King (Former MAC Director), Marek Ruta (Carassauga), and the late Pieter Kool (MARTY Winner, MAC supporter).
